Precious Lord, take my hand
Precious Lord, take my hand
Lead me on, let me stand.
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn
Through the storm, through the night
Lead me on, to the light
Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home.
When my way is unclear, precious Lord, linger near
When my time is almost gone.
Hear my prayer, hear my call
Take my hand, lest I fall
Take my hand, precious Lord, lead me home

Prayers

i realized there is so much about prayers. through pastor daniel, sister wanping, and the books i read. Prayer is not only just about asking. But more than it, it is really communication.
I know from matt6:9 Jesus teach about prayer. but i have always been "focusing" on matt9:-13. but God opened my eyes to verse
6.
v6 -But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Our place of prayer is important.Jesus Himself mostly went to somewhere alone or quiet right in the early morning. Here Jesus is, giving His best hours, first hours to God.Even though the people He need to minster to on earth at that moment is so much more than us,there is no kingCoil mattress that time,no alarm clock for that matter!Yet He still spend time to pray! After reading about prayers of Nehemiah, david, samual, daniel,Jesus.i start to ask myself, is my prayers inline with God's word about prayer? and as i start to pray,i start to seek.
We pray in cell group, conference prayer, pray in church. they are important. but our personal time spent praying to God is much more important. It is our relationship with God. The time we spend individually praying to God is out of our relationship with God. we dun just go to our friends and start to request things and stuffs then walk away after that. what more about Someone who is King of all kings, Creator, our best Friend, our Saviour? i used to have this bad habit quite long ago that when someone else come to share to me something that i already know.i usually just let the words flow thru my ears. i realized the moment i do that, i stopped learning.
i actually find it quite saddening when i hear something from God thru His words and it changes me, and when i start to go around sharing it, people will give me the face that "i know this". hehe i am a human too =) i dunno when it is, i start to remind myself constantly that i will not treat uncommon things as common. Like God speaking thru qt, thru His words. how wonderful is that! how encouraging!
That is how much prayers changed my life. Esp leaders need to be people of prayer.i am a spiritual leader fuel by spiritual power. i am still learning how to pray, but as i learn, God will guide and teach me.
5"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.
6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9"This, then, is how you should pray:
" 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us today our daily bread.
12Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
